SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE Monday, August 8th is the date for the annual Frederick City Feeder School Supply distribution. Last year we distributed backpacks and school supplies to over 1200 children.

Please note that we have changed location to the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints at 199 North Place, Frederick, MD 21701.

How can you help?
• Make a financial donation through the Religious Coalition so that our team of “shoppers” can purchase supplies.
• Collect school supplies (see the attached list) . Donations of School Supplies can be left on the stage in our Church Fellowship hall
• VOLUNTEER!!!! Here is a sign-up link for volunteers:

Last year, many of the school supplies needed for the older children were in short supply and we ran out of them within the first hour of distribution. Most donations were items for elementary students. Would you consider adding these items to your shopping list:

Backpacks - large size for Middle and High School (No pink ones please)
Thumb Drives - 1 GB or larger
3 Ring Binders - need 1/2", 1", and 1 1/2"
Dividers for binders
Graph Paper – Loose leaf and pads
Loose leaf Paper - College ruled & wide ruled
Sketch Pads (required for art classes)
Dry Erase Markers - both thick & fine point
Spiral Notebooks - both college & wide ruled
Plastic pocket folders with brads

Boxes have been placed on the stage and we will be collecting donations thru August 7th.

  • Paper Hot Cups (8 & 12 oz )
  • Plastic Spoons
  • Individual packs of snack crackers
  • Tarps (Ollies has great selection of inexpensive tarps)
  • Warm Men’s gloves

There is a box near the Christmas tree where you can leave your donations.
