I hope it’s here to stay. I see the buds on the trees and the flowers pocking up through the ground. There have been some warmer temperatures and pollen has covered the car. With the time change, I am still a bit confused about what time it is and when it gets dark each day. But I think Spring in on the way. It officially starts at 5:01 AM on Thursday, March 20. I am ready for it.
After the cold winter days, the up and down temperatures and several episodes of snow, I am looking forward to a season of green and new possibilities. When this time of year comes around, I find myself remembering the song “Pass It On” that I so often heard in Sunday School, VBS and church camp. The second stanza goes:
What a wondrous time is spring, when all the trees are budding
The birds begin to sing; the flowers start their blooming
That’s how it is with God’s love
Once you’ve experienced it
You want to sing, it’s fresh like spring
You want to pass it on.
So, I hope you get outside and enjoy the renewal of the natural world around you. I also hope you will find ways to pass on God’s love to those around you.
