Between Sundays: A Season of Gratitude and Community
This past week has been a powerful reminder of what happens when a church family lives out its faith through service, generosity, and joy.
Our Mission Team returned from Ashe County, North Carolina, on Saturday after a full week of hard work and heartfelt ministry. We’re deeply grateful to our UMC partners in the North Carolina Conference for their hospitality, food, and lodging. Their welcome made it possible for our team to serve families in need through home repair and renewal projects. Thank you for keeping them in your prayers throughout their travels and work.
Back home in Frederick, our Youth and adult supporters walked for WASH, and together raised over $2,200 for safe Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene initiatives around the world! A huge thank-you to our Youth Director, Jen Duthoy, for leading this effort and to everyone who donated or walked. And if you missed your chance to give, it’s not too late. You can still use the Love Offering envelopes in the pew pockets or give online by selecting “Love Offering” in the memo line.
As we turn the corner into the busiest months of ministry, there are wonderful opportunities to gather and serve together:

This is a joyful, bustling season at Calvary, and it wouldn’t be possible without so many hands, hearts, and prayers working together. Whether you’re walking for WASH, cooking chili, making cheeseballs, or setting up tables, know that you are part of something meaningful, building community and sharing Christ’s love in tangible ways.
Until Sunday, and all the days between,
Dr. Hutton
