A pondering from Dr. Hutton
It’s only been a little over two weeks. Still, I’m already beginning to feel the rhythm of this place: the way sunlight pours through the sanctuary windows, the joyful buzz of conversation after worship, and the quiet dedication of volunteers behind the scenes.
Transitions take time, and I’m learning names one conversation at a time. If I call you “friend” for now, it’s only because I’m holding space to get it right soon. Thank you for the warm welcome, the helpful directions, and your gracious patience as I find my way, literally and spiritually, into life with you.
As we move through the week, I’m reminded that church isn’t just what happens on Sunday. It’s in the meals shared, the prayers whispered, the help extended, and the hope we hold on to. That’s the beauty of community, we are the church between Sundays, too.
