What is the Calvary Aspiring League?
Simply stated, this is a league of post-secondary education or training young adult Calvary members with a common interest in aspiring to reach their goals.
Our mission is simple – to have a continued relationship between CUMC and recent high school graduates who are in all forms of post-secondary programs. Our vision is to create ongoing engagement and communication between these young adults, while they are in their education or service/training period, and CUMC to further their growth in faith and community and provide them support.
Post-secondary young adults are often away from home for months or years at a time as they further their education or training. But they are still in our hearts and minds as Calvary members even if we don’t see them in church. To continue our church relationship and provide ongoing support, we need to know who they are and where they are staying. We plan to send out multiple “care” packages to them during each year they are in their education or training program.
Are you, or does your family have a recent (last 4 years) high school graduate who is attending further education or service-related duty? Once we have their contact information, post-secondary direction, recent photo, and where mail and/or text can be received, we will enroll them in our Calvary Aspiring League program and stay in touch throughout their post-secondary years.
Who is qualified?
- Young adults from families who are members of Calvary and have graduated from high school over the last four years as we start, and then each year the new high school graduates will be added
- And, be in post-secondary education or service training
- College
- Vo/Tech school
- Apprenticeship training
- Military training
- Service commitment training with official organization (mission work, Peace Corps, etc.)
What information is needed to enroll?
- If you are a young adult who qualifies for this program or a family with a young adult, submit your form for enrollment via the printed form by email, drop in offering plate at church service, or enroll online, simply click the link below and complete the enrollment form.
