Youth Ministry
Our goal is to provide an open atmosphere where students can know that they matter. Where students can be honest, open, heard, accepted, and equipped to live as a light for Christ! And have fun in the process. We do this by…
Students Reaching Students
Extending the love of Christ to friends.
Being a light to those in darkness.
To ignite the passion for God in each other.
Students Influencing the World
Serving in the church.
Serving in the community.
Serving in the world.
Calvary Youth Group is open to ALL 6th through 12th-grade students. We strive to be a place where all can belong, love and grow in Christ as we seek and invite all to transform our church, community, and world.
Calvary Youth meet weekly from September through May at 5:30 pm for dinner then small group discussions and activities. When the youth group meets, they dine in fellowship in the Parish Hall at 5:30 pm. There is a time of games, worship and discussion, but these meals allow us to come together as a family . We invite youth parents and other members of the congregation to sign up if they’d like to provide a meal for the youth. Many collaborate with other families when hosting a meal for the youth.
There are also many special activities that Calvary Youth does, including weekend retreats, lock-ins, trips to local activities and mission trips during the summer. We also have special services that we help with during the year, including a Christmas Eve service and Youth Sunday in April. We strive to support our local community by visiting and caroling at a nursing home over Christmas, serving food at Second Street and Hope, held at Centennial UMC and collecting food for the food bank.
We hope you will join us for an amazing time!
